Servers and TV

After about 6 months of procrastination I’ve finally performed my server upgrade. That’s also the reason my homepage was offline a couple of weeks ago. The new server is a Pentium II 300MHz so it’s deffinately faster than the previous Pentium MMX 166MHz. Not everything went smoothly though, as I found out yesterday. I seem to have modified a setting in the PHP configuration file which made none of my homepages work. It took several hours to fix this, but I think all the wrinkles should be ironed out now.For those interrested in my TV habits, I’m now officially an addict to the show "Lost". Stressing work situation III – The conclusion

A whole 3 months without an update. Come on! Pull yourself together Glenn! At least, I’ve updated some smaller details on the site, so that’s gotta count for something. If you’ve studied those modified details you’ll probably have guessed that I’ve gotten a new job. I had already changes the tires on my car to the winter tires but still it was slippery as hell, so I drove really slow. But that just didn’t help. In a crossing I was going left, but my car just kept on sliding forward in the direction of a centre strip. I slammed the brakes and laid in a hard left on the steeringwheel while the ABS was working like crazy. The car slowly started turning but it was like watching the Titanic head for the iceberg. It looked like it was just going to make it but a couple of meters before impact I noticed […] Read more

Radio wallpaper

On halloween I entered a contest on my favorite music website StreamingSoundtracks.com. The contest assignment was to make a wallpaper, and I actually won! The price were 8 CDs which have been added to my collection today. To see the wallpaper and the full story on how I made it, click this link.I’ve also finally reached the magical 200 mark in my DVD collection, but I don’t plan on stopping quite yet. I’ve got 10 new DVDs waiting to be inserted to the database. But you should know me pretty well by now to know that I won’t be very quick about that. Heck, they’ve been lying on my shelf for weeks now without me ever writing about it here or inserting it into the […] Read more
